Daniel asks…

Does anyone know specifically where I can find a bowling themed bedding set for a baby nursery?

I’ve tried searching the internet with different word variations (bowling themed nursery, baby bowling bedding, etc.) with no success.
The baby’s father is a professional bowler =)

Jaime & Victoria answers:

You could use one of the black and white ready made nursery bedding sets and add your bowling decorations elsewhere in the nursery. I saw some red, black and white geometric designs that would look really cool with bowling theme decorations. Or you could pick up a solid color crib skits, some solid color baby sheets and make a crib duvet out of bowling fabric.

As you must be a bowling fan, I wanted to mention that I have a friend who uses a cute bowling bag for a diaper bag.

Betty asks…

What do I need to buy when setting up the baby nursery?

I am only 7 weeks along but hubby and I decided to check out some baby stores this weekend just to know how much stuff costs (and budget for it in the future). I’m more confused now than I was before! There are all these different items I wasn’t even aware we needed, and it turns out everything is super expensive!
I know the baby industry tries to sell you everything under the sun, so what exactly will I need in setting up the nursery before the baby is born?
Thanks!

Jaime & Victoria answers:

A crib, a changing table, a bassinet (if you plan on keeping the baby in your room at the beginning), nursery decorations (crib mattress, curtains, crib sheet, crib skirt, etc.), blankets, towels, onesies, dresser to keep all the clothes, maybe a playpen.
Good luck.

Lisa asks…

What’s the final touch on your babies nursery?

I am 7 months pregnant and I have started to set up our babies nursery, my fiance painted it last month and so far I have his clothes hung up and different things in wicker baskets… His crib is set up and the glider chair as well.. I feel as though putting the bedding on his crib would be the final touch.. Do most people leave this until the very end? Or is this something you set up first.. I don’t want it to get all dusty or anything sitting there for 2 more months.. We still have more things to do in his room but I’m antsy to get it all done!!

Jaime & Victoria answers:

Wait until you bring him home to put the sheets on the bed. Not only does dust get on them, but also pollen and other allergens. Simply wipe the bed (and let it completely dry for 20 minutes or so) with a few clean diaper wipes before you make it up.

Although I think it’s wonderful that you have the room made up, remember that doctors have been wrong before, and it could still be a girl. Good luck with everything, and congratulations!
